Glucosamine is in staat beschadigd kraakbeenweefsel te herstellen, de gewrichten van nieuwe gewrichtsvloeistof (Synovia) te voorzien en zodoende de beschadigde gewrichten weer optimaal te laten functioneren.
Glucosamine wordt speciaal aanbevolen voor opgroeiende dieren en wordt tevens met succes toegepast bij dieren met mobiliteitsproblemen als gevolg van groeistoornissen, ziekteverschijnselen zoals H.D. of ouderdom.
